Happy (late) New Year! I have been quite the awful blogger as I haven’t updated since Thanksgiving. No time for excuses though, this is a brand new year, and I’m excited to bring in some great changes in my life, in hopes of reaching and living dreams I’ve been wanting for a long time now. I hope you all had a fantastic Holiday and New Year! What did you do? What did you eat? And most importantly – what did you wear?

Although I tell myself each and every year that there will be new (good) changes I will be sticking to, and resolutions to live by, I haven’t done a very good job at doing so, especially when it comes to things I am passionate about, like writing and learning more about fashion. My absolute goal this year is to reach and live my dreams and passions (one being this blog of course), which is why I have developed a structured schedule (since I am a list-freak and like to go by a schedule/organized planner!) to ensure I will continue updating. I’m looking forward to sticking to this very much, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do (: It will hopefully go as follows:

I definitely feel this will help me stay on track and not stray away from updating. I start classes again next week, so I really want to get a head start on everything and keep my life and dreams organized and blooming! Today is Wednesday, so it’s time to share with you some things that are featured on my wish list, which I constantly update (and when I say constantly, I mean multiple times a day)! I finally purchased some of the items today, while the rest will have to wait a bit more!

I have been wanting new nail polish colors for quite some time now, but haven’t gotten around to it mainly because I couldn’t seem to find affordable, yet bold, colors. Instead of spending $6+ on O.P.I or Sally Hansen, I opted for the inexpensive brands – hooray wet n wild – only $.99! I bought 4 colors today: black, white, and a deep bubblegum pink (pictured below). The pink makes me feel like I’m a true Betsey girl, which is exactly my persona. Another one I saw and bought right before checking out was a lovely lavender color by Confetti; I’ve never heard of the brand but it looked very pretty when trying it on (yes, I always try them on at the store – oops!).

Another beauty product, or rather, type, I’ve been learning about for a while and dying to try out is Mineral Make-up. I’m sure many of you have heard of all the rage about it now, and if not, I’m going to dedicate an entire post about it because I definitely feel it’s a type of make-up that many can and should benefit from! The wonderful thing about mineral make-up is that it is free of harsh chemicals and preservatives that other products carry which can irritate the skin more, clog pores, and bring upon acne or other skin conditions (more on that later!) – all things we definitely do not want for our beautiful skin! While at CVS (where I also purchased the nail polishes), I picked up another product by wet n wild: natural blend pressed powder. I ran out of my Maybelline one (finally, since I was waiting to get my minerals!), and came across wet n wild’s new mineral/natural line – this was only $4.99 – truly a steal compared to other drugstore and obviously the higher end brands. 

Lastly featured on my wish list for today are these adorable ankle booties from Forever21. I have 3 pairs of knee high black boots, and only one pair of black flats that I can’t wear in cold weather, so I desperately need some cute booties! These are just what I’m looking for as they are completely edgy with a feminine flare, seeing as they have a cute floral lace inset. Very versatile, I’d love to wear these booties with leggings paired with dresses or skirts! I’m going to have to buy them soon since Forever21 runs out of their merchandise quite fast!
