NYFW Favorites – Jenni Kayne

Jenni Kayne
Jenni Kayne’s inspiration for her Fall 2011 collection was rooted in the memories of her weekends in the East coast. She says, “the nineties have been leading [her] lately” – we’ve been seeing a lot from the 90s in NYFW so far and I love it! Shift dresses and chunky knits in saturated colors – turquoise, fuchsia, and a deep marigold – made simple silhouettes burst with beauty. Pairing of different fabrics in one outfit worked wonderfully – like a sequin embellished shirt with a dense cable-knit sweater. A little bit of country with a hint of city with the bold use of color and texture made the models look chic and ready to be a hit at any party.
