magazine clip-outs

I definitely need to start waking up much earlier, which means I need to sleep earlier, so I can get a fresher start to my day. I had a long weekend though, so that’s partly why I’ve been a bit sluggish the past couple of days. I’m feeling great today, though! My weekend was filled with silly laughs, good friends and great memories. There’s still so much I want to do before the summer ends: plan a trip to the beach and King’s Dominion, go on some hiking trip, visit the museums in D.C., dye my hair… just to name a few.

I was going through my, I hate to say, slightly disorganized room and stumbled upon this ‘fashion binder’ I created a year or so ago filled with tons of my favorite clip-outs from magazines. I figured it’d be nice to share a few of my favorite pages for those who seem to only skim through magazines, and try to remember specific articles, but don’t clip ’em out like I do (I’m kind of obsessed) I’d like to do this every once in a while – I feel it’s a great way to keep on top of the latest in fashion and beauty, and it helps me remember things I thought I forgot or didn’t have handy!

It really is good to have these clip-outs organized into some sort of folder/binder; I find it helpful to look back on specific articles and tutorials for guidance and it’s great to see how trends and beauty buzzes get updated.Β
I also happened to find my Teen Vogue Handbook, which was gifted to me a few years ago and it’s incredibly helpful. It’s written by designers, stylists, editors, and photographers in the fashion industry and teaches aspiring fashion-enthusiasts like us the behind-the-scenes secrets about the business! I’ll feature that in a post soon, it’s a must-have buy for any fashion lover.
I’m off to do some thrift shopping for the rest of the day… I found some small stores in the area which I’m pretty stoked about! I’ll share any treasures I buy!
