Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Prabal Gurung, Versace
Designers this Spring definitely envisioned a futuristic under the sea world. Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen stitched ethereal gowns with shards of coral, Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci imagined a love story between a surfer and a mermaid, and Florence of Florence + the Machine even sang ‘What the Water Gave Me’ from inside of an enormous clamshell at Chanel.
I’m not usually a fan of anything tropical or floral, but the designers had me incredibly inspired and wanting to wear these bright, Hawaiian-esque prints and colors! Betsey Johnson even has a spring line out right now filled with unique prints as well as jewelry embellished with beautiful flowers and sea critters! It’s time to ditch those old-school hues and bad Hawaiian tops and opt for tropical shades of blues, greens, and oranges and pretty, bright tones of white, silver, and gold.
My top pieces that I would oh-so-love to have… a girl can dream…

Will you be taking a dive under the sea this spring & summer with these
fun, attention-grabbing prints & colors?! I can’t wait! Share your thoughts!
