Let’s Make "Fitness Pretty" Instead Of "Pretty Sporty" | Cynthia Rowley S/S 2015

I’ve loved the concept of stylish and pretty fitness attire ever since I started partaking in yoga and pilates, since I’m not a legging and sports-bra type of girl. What I love even more, is Cynthia Rowley’s idea of “making fitness pretty instead of making pretty sporty”. For Rowley’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection, she decided to separate her activewear looks from the ready-to-wear. The line includes elements like a metallic bike helmet, bags with gold whistles, black leggings and white tops with “Cynthia Rowley” adorned up the side in gold, and scalloped running shorts.

Rowley’s main line isn’t missing its athletic expertise though; for instance, red and white racing stripes lined a pair of black floor-skimming trousers. This season, the designer thought a lot about bold prints, including blown up ’60s florals on trapeze dresses and swingy tops in oversized lace. As for silhouettes, Rowley showcased cropped kick flares and billowy dresses, which worked exceptionally well with both athletic footwear as well as high-heel mules. While it was clear that the two collections are separate, the two lines go hand in hand beautifully.
