Can we all take a moment to admire and obsess over how gorgeous Gwen Stefani is? I mean, does she ever age? From her days in (one of my favorite bands ev-er) No Doubt to going solo with her music, all the while being one of the most stylish moms ladies in Hollywood, Stefani never ceases to amaze me with her fashion sense. She’s stuck true to her own personal style ever since she rocked anything and everything punk and grunge, with a feminine, flirty twist. In her most recent hit and music video Baby Don’t lie, we can see just how spectacular Gwen is at showcasing her signature red lip and platinum 50s hairdo alongside the perfect way to dress up in a retro, single pattern look without going overboard.
I love Gwen’s combination of polka-dots from head-to-toe; by pairing a small print on top with a larger print on the bottom, it creates a unique, artistic element and allows you to pair the same pattern without wearing too much of it. Towards the end of the video, we see her in an even bolder, yet more casual, polka-dot tank and belt (of course her back-up dancers look just as awesome!) She’s definitely given me more inspiration to put together creative retro looks with my polka-dot jeans!
