Outfit // 4th of July

Happy 4th of July! I shot this look a few days ago in my neighborhood and pretty much fell in love with the scenery around us. Sometimes it’s fun to get lost in your own town, since you end up discovering the most lovely photo-ops like we did. We were only able to get these four shots of my festive look, as my camera battery didn’t last. Nonetheless, I’m glad we got something.

For the 4th, I decided to put together a sporty-smart look. I’ve had this royal blue ruffle skirt in my wardrobe for a few months now, and I needed something other than a dressy blouse to pair it with. I snagged this crop top recently and I’ve been hooked, so I thought it would be perfect for the look I was aiming for! I wanted to throw in another bold color alongside the blue, and opted for a red knit cardigan tied around my waist. Finally, I finished off the look with black and white slip-ons and a straw hat to match. This is definitely a new style for me but I’m really loving the ease of it!

Hope you all have a lovely and safe 4th of July. Can’t wait to see what everyone is wearing and doing!
