When it comes to makeup, nothing is more satisfying than finding a foundation that matches your skin-tone to. a. t. Read on to find out more!
I haven’t worn foundation all that much in the past year or so, unless it’s for a special occasion or I’m shooting close-ups of my makeup for the day. I’ve found a BB Cream that works for my skin and skin-tone (perhaps I’ll do a post on that sometime!), and I prefer the lighter feel and more natural look. However, upon being matched color-wise via Influenster and receiving the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation, I may just have to start swapping back and forth between BB Creams and foundations more often!
Make Up For Ever states that the foundation was developed “specifically for the film and TV industry,” so it helps to create “a naturally flawless complexion.” Yes please, thank you. Isn’t that what we’re all looking for?! #flawless #nofilter I have combination skin with large pores and light acne scarring, so this foundation has proved to be an excellent fit to help combat my skin troubles. Below I’ve listed the major pros and cons I’ve found in the foundation.
Pros:
- Medium to heavy coverage, buildable
- Near exact match to your skin-tone
- Feels and looks natural
- Comes in a nice bottle with a pump
- Really does look “flawless” on camera
Cons:
- Wears off very easily, especially if you have oily skin or you’re in a humid environment. Slipped right off my nose after just a few hours (even with a primer and setting spray!)
- Dries fast so you have to work quite fast
See how well it matches my skin-tone? You may also be able to slightly tell it’s started to wear off my nose, though.
This foundation is most likely ideal for those with normal skin, without dryness, flakiness, or excess oil. It would also be best suited for photoshoots or special occasions, versus running around wearing it all day, as you may risk it wearing off or settling into fine lines and pores. Everyone’s skin is incredibly different though, so I would still suggest giving it a shot at your local Sephora, especially to get a true color match.
