I’m pretty positive I don’t need to emphasize how popular the choker trend has become. Just in-case you’ve been pulling off a Patrick Star and living under a rock, though, I’m here to tell you: chokers are in and they aren’t going anywhere. Let’s shop my lust list during today’s National Jewelry Day ➳

Chokers are one of the easiest ways to transform an otherwise simple outfit. They’re perfect for those days – especially Mondays – when you just don’t feel like thinking about accessorizing an outfit. The one you see on me above is paired with such a simple outfit – long black top, black skinnies, and chunky boots – that’s instantly amped up with the choker. Chokers are a one-and-done kinda deal, and there are so SO many to choose from since the trend took flight, not just the tattoo option from the 90s (definitely a solid choice, though). Even better, there’s no right or wrong way to wear one. The only styles I’m personally not a huge fan of are the oversized ones, as I feel they take on the “choker” name a little too, well, literally; and I’d like to avoid looking like a wrapped up present… but hey, if you’re a fan, go for it!
