At the start of this year, I subscribed to beauty box Birchbox. Every month, (for only $10!) I receive 4-5 deluxe beauty and lifestyle samples tailored just for me, based on my profile upon sign-up. One of the main reasons why I chose Birchbox over other monthly beauty subscriptions is because of the fun elements they include, aside from the incredible samples, from challenges to fun tips and tricks catered to a wide variety of lifestyles. I really wish I shared every box I’ve received so far but I think I got too excited and forgot to do so – oops! I’ll do my best to post them from now on, starting today, with the June edition (I know, I know, it’s July!).
For June, the theme was “Away We Go”, which meant travel-ready samples, on-the-go inspiration, and an exciting partnership with JetBlue (one of my favorite airlines!). First up, JetBlue has a fun little quiz for us to take to determine where we should travel to next! Surprise, surprise, I got San Francisco (it’s a dream of mine to live there)! What about you?
Right in time for summer festivities, we have a luxe, creamy liner from Cynthia Rowley designed for smudge-proof, all day-wear and full-on glam. The middle picture is the liner on my bare arm in natural sunlight; the image on the left is smudged on without any other makeup; and in the final picture, I applied it to the inner corner of my eyes to make them pop! I’m absolutely in love with the smooth application of this eyeliner and the color can be used both during the day and at night. I definitely see myself buying it again and again.
Last but certainly not least, Birchbox loves to have us smelling just as good as we feel! The Folle de Joie Eau de Parfum by Joie is a fresh blend of mandarin, rose, and sandalwood that just screams summertime. The citrus scent is so fresh and the rose isn’t too powerful, which I like.
