Lust List: Denim Jackets

HappyBirthdayMy Love

Happy 3-day weekend! Spring is almost over (ok, ok – in a few weeks), and I’m just now realizing that I’ve worn my denim jacket only a handful of times this entire year so far, not counting this past week. This is most likely due to the fact that I’ve pretty much worn the seams off of it and it’s definitely time for a new one. With that said, I can’t wait to get shopping this weekend, despite the fact that it’s going to be a mess with Memorial Day sales. But hey — SALES!

I don’t care who you are, where you’re from, or what you do… please slap me because I just quoted BSB when I should only ever quote the one and only boy band *Nsync. In all seriousness though, it doesn’t matter what your personal style is – anyone can pull off a denim jacket. The piece is a closet must-have, but many avoid it due to either its associations, such as with hipsters (idk, idc), or simply due to having no clue how to wear one, especially if you already live in denim jeans on the daily.

It’s rather simple, though. You can pull off a denim jacket in a variety of ways — ranging from nice and simple with a t-shirt, or dressing it up a notch by layering it over a dress. I honestly feel the possibilities are endless, especially with the many options you can find these days. The choice is truly yours in how you wear it; make it special and personal by adding some patches, buttons, or embroidery. However you decide to wear a denim jacket, you’ll never look back — I guarantee you’ll make it an essential part of your wardrobe. Here are some of my favorites out there that I’m going to have a difficult time narrowing down to buy just one…
